Ryan Martinez Joins NIRI SWRC 2010 Planning Committee

NIRI DFW is pleased to add Ryan Martinez, Senior Analyst, Investor Relations at Southwest Airlines Co. to our 2010 NIRI SWRC Planning Committee. At Southwest Airlines, Ryan is responsible for managing existing and prospective relationships with the investment community and individual shareholders as well as media/PR relations surrounding financial topics. The investor relations effort at Southwest Airlines includes close coordination with the Corporate Communications team to ensure that a consistent corporate message is presented to all constituencies, including the general media and Employees. He has been with Southwest since October 2006.

Ryan has been a member of NIRI since 2007. He is also a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s.

Ryan’s experience includes: Senior Analyst Investor Relations since 2008; Analyst Investor Relations (October 2006 – December 2007). Prior to joining Southwest, Ryan was a Senior Financial Analyst at The Neiman Marcus Group. Ryan began his career in public accounting and spent three years working in both the tax and audit departments at BDO Seidman, LLP in Dallas.

Ryan graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

NIRI SWRC 2010 will be hosted by NIRI DFW Chapter in August 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
